Dr. Alana Flexmam was appointed as the SNACC representative to Journal of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology (JNA) editorial board on 7/2/18. She recently received the Dr. Dmitri Giannoulis Resident Appreciation Award from University of British Columbia for her dedication to resident education.

Dr. Ines Koerner was selected as the Chair of the Session Proposal Review Committee for the 2019 International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS). She is currently an Associate Professor and Medical Director of Neurosciences Intensive Care Units (NSICU) in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).

Drs. Ines Koerner from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and Max Kelz from University of Pennsylvania will serve as the two SNACC representatives on the Session Proposal Review Committee for the 2019 Annual Meeting of the International Anesthesia Research Society to be held in Montreal in May 2019.

Drs. M. Angèle Théard and Linda S. Aglio from the SNACC Committee on Diversity and Inclusion have published an article titled “Diversity and Inclusion, Here and Now – SNACC Reaches Out To All Its Members” in the August issue of ASA Monitor (ASA Monitor 2018;Vol. 82: 52-54).
